Why do I forget I have a blog?

Once again I forgot about this blog. I really do try to keep up with it, but then it poof slips my mind I have one. The winter of 2010 has really sucked weather wise....spring can not come quick enough.

As for my travels I was suppose to leave for Fort Lauderdale today, but got sick. So the trip was cancelled. Lucky enough I did not incur any penalties due to Jet Blue waiving the fees due to another storm here in NY! Yuck. So I will save my Jet Blue Money in my new "Jet Blue Travel Bank" and told Richie he can not say "NO" to going to Mardi Gras March 2011. I just love New Orleans!!! Talking about New Orleans we were there to bring in the New year....it was great!!!!

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in the Maison Orleans which is the club level area. Let's say I just wanted to move in there! The rooms and club level were so charming. 5 food and beverage presentations daily.....I love Ritz Carltons.

We went to Cafe Du Monde every day to have the beignets.....oh my........so yummy!

Bringing in the New Years New Orleans style was a fantastic awesome experience. The mayor rang in the New Year with us in NOLA.

So now you can see why I must celebrate a Mardi Gras there....I hope I can stay at the Ritz again!!

In January we stayed one night with my hubby, son and his girlfriend at the GOTH looking "Night Hotel" in NYC .....very interesting all done in Black and white....was fun for a night not sure I will stay there longer or again....maybe will try Dreams thier sister hotel in the future.

Valentines day weekend we went back into the city and stayed at "70 Park Avenue" fun Kimpton boutique hotel. Went with our doggie Shannon for the first time she has been away since she was a pup. We will be doing a series of MANY visits to NYC the next few months with Shannon and I am hoping I will remember I do have a blog!!

We are testing the waters to see if our nervous dog can handle city living. She is a bit nutty but cute. We hope to have a second home in Manhattan soon and possibly move there totally in the future.
